Motes Construction is a fully insured residential and commercial construction company located in Seguin, TX. Our specialty is turnkey site preparation for new construction projects. We also specialize in a variety of ranch services.
Larry Motes
Over the past 30 years, Larry has worked in the construction and sitework industry, providing many businesses, homeowners, and individuals with quality sitework.
Larry was born and raised in Bryceville, Florida. After serving four years in the United States Marine Corps, he decided to use his skills elsewhere. His knowledge and years of expertise stem from his organization, multitasking, and land-reading skills. He has the ability to operate multiple machines and can put the right machine on the job to get the results you want. His favorite part of the job is being hands-on and seeing something turn from a thought into fruition. He holds an OSHA 30 Certificate as well as an Underground Utilities Certificate. Larry’s primary goal with Motes Construction is to continue developing a dependable company in the region that people can rely on for honest and superior work.
When Larry is not working, you can find him hunting, fishing, and developing new relationships (he does not meet a stranger). He enjoys spending his evenings and weekends with his wife, Krissy, and their four dogs: Marli, Cooper, Bella, and Barkli.
Krissy Motes
Krissy Motes has worked as the office manager for Motes Construction for the past nine years. The first two years were spent working in the field with Larry, doing fencing, post-job cleaning, land clearing, and other tasks to help get their business in order.
When Krissy met Larry in 2015, she took over the role of office manager, allowing Larry to focus on fieldwork. They got married in 2019, and their business has grown tremendously since then. Krissy is organized, which helps with managing employees, paperwork, and payroll. She is team-oriented and loves when everyone can work together efficiently. Krissy deeply cares about everyone, which is beneficial when working with clients and employees. The office manager job has many perks, but her favorite is the freedom she has to communicate with others and the relationships it builds within the community.
Krissy has three beautiful children and is one proud mom (and grandma). Chris and his wife, Savannah, have a baby girl on the way and live in Richmond, Texas. Karissa and her husband, Ben, have a daughter, Alethea – they currently live in Georgia but will be moving to Maryland soon. Kailey and her husband, Hagen, live in Florida but plan on moving back to Texas in 2025. When Krissy is not in the office, she enjoys shopping, baking, crafts, and spending time with her husband, kids, and their four dogs: Marli, Cooper, Bella, and Barkli.
